my 2011 chevy equinox engine suddenly stoped running while i was driving about 70 mph now it will crank over and act like it is about to start but it won't

Check the basics, If you haven't already. I don't know what testing you have done? Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all. Have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. You could check for rpm signal, w/o that signal, it will kill the engine. That signal comes from crank sensor. I'm not saying that sensor is faulty, w/o testing, I don't know? Any applicable trouble codes?
