Saab code ACM B0083-05

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hello
I have an issue with my car. I am trying to fix a code
on my Saab. My airbag light comes on and I'm
trying to remove. I get this code ACM B0083-05. It
says sensor connector short/open to B+. The
sensor is okay but I'm not sure what's wrong. I
know the sensor is good and changed out the
chairs and it's still comes on no matter what. If it's a
wire I'm not too where the location would be and
what wire it is. Hope you could help.

I don't recommend trying to power up an open to B+ circuit with out the skill set and gear to do this following the correct procedure.. Air bags have squibs as you know that explode when fired. If you're qualified discharge capacitors, prove out the circuit and if necessary change out the ACM. Absolutely NO power probes.
Okay thanks. I'll try another ACM first before anything else.
However, do you know the location in the car and or the wire that may cause this fault? I'll to to replace the ACM again but all other sensors are fine. So as you stated about the proper procedure, it may be a wire.

You already changed the ACM? Maybe a Saab Expert here will help you.
I changed it once already. That code is what's left on the newer ACM. I appreciate your help so far. I may get another ACM instead and see. Thanks.

Was the vehicle involved in an accident? Did you check the seat belt(s) if they are also deployed? Call me at 307 222 9303 if you need any advice.
