Who is giving you advice on what repairs the vehicle needs? If the car was in running condition when you bought it it would be unusual for it to need so much work. I dont know what you paid or how much it has cost you in repairs so far, but I would determine the Kelly Blue Book value and then decide how to proceed. If the cost of the vehicle plus your repairs is still at or under the KBB value, it might be OK to do some additional work. If not, sell it and get something that will give you a little more peace of mind.

Are you capable of doing suspension repairs yourself? Not really difficult if you have tools. Whatever estimate you received for suspension repairs from a mechanic, you can probably cut the cost in half or more if you can do the work yourself. You'll have to have a shop do the alignment after parts are replaced.
