2001 300m smells of gas inside car when you come to a stop. Not through the air vents. Recently had some somg system work done. Why?

I don't know...why... but feel compelled to say that any time you smell raw gasoline in the cabin or even out of the car, there is a leak and a risk if fire. Please, be very careful and consider having it towed to a shop, rather than driving it. Heck with the car, it can be replaced. But you can't be. With engine cold, turn key to run. Do not start. See if you can follow the odor to the source and maybe you can fix it yourself, if you are moderately experienced with cars. If not, have it towed. Check your insurance, it may cover towing.
