dull clicking on passangers side think its a actular ,then a louder pecking noise from middle or driverside started.

when I start or turn off my car a dull clicking sound starts then after a few
minutes it stops and it does it off and on all the time then the other day a louder
pecking noise started and it seems to be in the middle or drivers side of dash
could anyone tell me what could the problem be.

it does the same thing when the heat is on also. and when it is off, does it when I get in or out of car. or will do it when it has been off for several hours. is there a way to reprogram it or something
