Car wont start just clicking sound

Last week the car broke down just as getting off
hiway.after it wouldn't start so i jumped it git jt
home thought it was battery brought new
one.drove it for 4 hours again broke down the abs
lite came on car wouldnt drive or give gas.now
when I start it,it just clicks.all lites and everything
works.what can this be please.

probly a worn out regulator. The alternator does not sound like it is fully charging the system any more.

Check for a corroded or broken little blue wire to the back of the alternator. That fixed mine. Everything else worked, but just 1 click when I tried to start
