I recently have this issue where the check battery light flickers on and off for a few secs and it feels like the car is losing power but its only momentary. Got the car checked and I have a brand new battery and they said its not my alternator. Any ideas as to what it could be? P.s not sure if this is related but my 12v ports stopped working around the same time. 1 Answer

I went to try and get this car smogged but was unsuccessful because of a "failed OBD system checks" -my question is what is this the Machanic is talking about and how might one go about correcting the problem? What could I check myself or diagnose myself to get this failed device and working functional one? What would I have to buy to correct this issue and about how much would it cost? Thanks for your help. ~Chad~ 15 Answers

I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with 65,000 miles and i just recently found out i need a front right wheel bearing and I have 2 evap leaks. (2 codes came up). I was quoted $450 to fix both issues including a state inspection. Is this a serios issue with my car that has to be fixed right away or something i can fix over the next few weeks? Is this a good price for the problem? Is there something i can do to fix these issues for now that could be a cheaper option? 1 Answer

I have a 2002 Hyundai Accent 1.6L. I just changed the rear drums, shoes, and all of the springs. When I move the car, I can hear a noise that sounds like a spring popping. Also, my parking brake lifts up a lot more than before, but it still works. I put all of the springs on correctly, the shoes are on the right side, and the adjuster is on correctly. I did have trouble putting on the drum and had to adjust it quite a bit. I checked the rotation of the wheel and it lagged nicely. I’m not sure what this spring noise could be or if it’s normal for new springs. If you have any ideas about what the noise could be, it would be helpful. 7 Answers
