power steering

hi i recently changed the power steering belt and
return line o ring because i was getting whine and
squeal when turning with my 2009 sti. now when i
try to top up the fluid it seem to fill up ok with a fue
bubbles so i steer a little put some in it over and
over till it looks full then i put the cap on and it
barfs out the top. plus now my steering is heavy
and power feels like its cutting in and out with lots
of groaning.

Air bubbles. Turn wheel slowly lock-to-lock a couple of times to purge air. If no good re- inspect your o-ring service, as it sounds like it's still cavitating air.

it was the o ring. sucked it up and spent the cash on a oem. works like butter now.

The OE o-ring is a bit small, so after a few years it deforms into a triangular-crosssection that allows cavitation. A slightly thicker o-ring from a hardware store works better. You want a snug enough fit to overcome the stupid singular offset mounting bolt.
