Air bags

Asked by Kimstandridge Aug 27, 2019 at 03:43 PM about the 2006 Dodge Durango SLT RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was in a low impact wreck. My air bags
didn't employ bit now the light for them stays
on. How can I reset the code. And since they
didn't deploy but light is on could they deploy
while just driving it on a regular basis?

I would say the wiring or the sensor was compromised. The airbags won't deploy if the light is on, just the opposite. Since the light is on, they won't deploy. Have the body shop correct it when you take it in for repair.
