2006 Durange SLT 4.7L Heater/AC Controls

I have the mechanical heater/AC controls, but I noticed that the '06 also was available with automatic (i.e. electronic) controls.  I cannot determine if the wiring harness is plug-n-play identical regardless of which control is installed.

Can I simply get the automatic control unit as a direct replacement for the mechnical one?

Finally, I found photos of the rear of both controls and the connectors appear to be identical, so I am thinking the automatic control will work just fine.
