Fuel problem ?

Asked by Jstalker2483 Jan 26, 2015 at 10:09 AM about the 2004 Ford Escape XLT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No fuel pressure in engine bay pump
is running and new fuel filter yet
nothing the fuel line from the filter
runs to a black box located behind
the filter and when I pulled the line
there was nothing in it? What is the
black box and could this be my
problem? I just got this car and it
would start before I towed it
home...didn't run good at all but it
started and now nothing it just
cranks

does it leak any fluids that smell like gas cause if the pump is running comstantly than you have a fuel leak
