I have a grinding noise in my front driver's side tire. Our mechanic replaced the tie rod cap, but it's still there (our mechanic is trustworthy). It's only when I'm going STRAIGHT, not on corners. 1 Answer

My 2008 Ford Escape AWD floor matts keep getting soaked. I thought I had fixed it by making sure the sunroof was closed properly, but it has continued. I have tried to figure out where this is coming from and finally after drying them out again I laid under the the vehicle and both on the drivers side in the middle of the front floor area and the passanger side there is a small hole about the size of a dine right in the middle. That would account for the water coming in after rain storms and such, but why would these two holes be there? Was there a drain area there with plugs and they are missing? Can I have a piece of metal welded over them? Don't know why they would be there. Doesn't seem to be a rust issue as it is frim all around these small holes. 7 Answers

I am having my outer tie rod ends replaced and front lower control arms on my ford escape. Unfortunately the mechanic can't do a tire alignment for me and i would need to take it into a shop. There are car shops down the road from my house where he will be doing the work but I am afraid I wont be able to drive my car anywhere after the tie rods are replaced. My question is how far can I safely drive, if at all after getting my tie rods replaced without a wheel alignment ? 1 Answer
