2012 Mercedes E-350 is there a maual release to the paddle gear shifter?

A manual release? What are you trying to do?
i need to move my 4-matic, but the gear shifter is on a paddle, all i want the car to do is move in neutral. thanks for the speedy responses

buy a different car. One that you think a car should behave.
The transmission is hooked to the gear selection lever on the console. Move that to neutral. I don't think you can get to neutral using steering wheel paddles unless it's something new.

Amazing how two people found your comment useful . Nope, not how it works on these. It's all electronically selected, via a stock on the steering wheel column. It's not a mechanically selected gearshift on these. The vehicle has to have battery power, and then you select Neutral on the steering column, without opening your door which will put the benz back into Park.
