2005 Dodge Stratus power steering seems to catch when cutting to the left belt also squeals worse when raining.Belt is tight and fluid is full so why does it seem to catch?

Try adding some Lucas Power Steering Fluid to your power steering pump. Friend of mine had the same problem with his power steering when he would first start the vehicle the steering would catch and loosen up for about five minutes then he added the Lucas to his power steering pump no problem from the first time he put it in. No guarantee its going to work but its worth a try.

If you do decide to try the Lucas to remove some power steering fluid for pump use something like a turkey baster remove fluid.
