Overheating
Asked by Shada Aug 20, 2016 at 11:13 AM about the 2012 Dodge Charger SE RWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2012 dodge charger and I just
started having these problem with my car
I've change the thermostat and it's still
doing the same so I call to the dealership
and explain to the guy that works on the
cars he say it's sounds like the heads and
that the dealership doesn't cover that
problem he suggested that I try blue devil
my brother had this problem with his
Chrysler and it work fine I'll rather try
spending 40 bucks vs 1700+

Have you tried anything else like flush the cooling system and is the cooling fan coming on ? If all else fails yes I would try a block seal. Have used bars leak and it worked great never tried the blue devil before quite sure it is just as good.
Ok I so I tried the blue devil and it worked!! I drove my car yesterday and today and It haven't run hot not once!!!

Thank you for letting us know how it worked out now I can recommend using blue devil and to try it next time I run into a blown head gasket problem.
Back again you guys Car is still running hot within the last 7months I've changed the water pump gotten a new radiator a fan wire switch hand goes to hot and comes back over to normal I'm trying to save but think I'm going to just take it to the dealership because it's becoming a headache now

I had the same problem with my 07 2.7l. Bypassed my heater core and it is good. Since the heater core isn't leaking I have attempted to clean it out with water and compressed air. Haven't hooked it back up yet but plan to do so today. Will share the results.
