I have a 2004 2.7 litre Dodge Stratus, now makes a noise in front of motor. it's Not a Rod or lifter. The noise does quit and get loud

Remove the serpentine belt and physically check all pulleys that will spin, they should spin smoothly, if not replace any that are bad. a bad bearing in a pulley will make all kinds of noise.
