power sliding door will not latch. you have to push it to get it to lock into place. Can it be replaced by the owner? 7 Answers

drivers side power slide door will close but will not latch. you can hear the motor but it does not pull the door in to latch. you must push the door to get it to latch into place.

It seems to lurch when shifting gears until it gets warmed up and then it almost goes away. What could it be?
