Purchased this car from my girlfriends mom as a work vehicle. She kept up with maintenance far as replacing timing belt, tune ups and stuff oil changes of course. As of today it has 150001 miles on it. Before I bought it from her she used it as a work vehicle talking 20 mile commute total daily. Going on a year now I have been pushing it more far as making a 90 mile drive back and forward like 3x a month. Soon I plan on making that 90 mile drive more often. Since I have had it about 2yrs changed the camshaft position sensor because of a P0340 it tried stalling but once I changed the sensor no issues. It does behave strange at time far as some times after some driving around it will crank really..... quick or when idling its like a rumbling sound the engines not smooth at times. Especially after a long drive. So I am considering getting it rebuilt got a quote form a place for 2500 parts and labor. Will a rebuild make significant difference, what parts do you think i should replace on the engine during the rebuild?

Before you consider a rebuilt engine, look at the condition of the rest of the car such as the trans, remember it probably has the high miles as well, I would say if you have the means than buy new especially with a long commute
