I have a 2012 Ford F150. The truck stalled on the interstate. When I took it in they couldn't determine the specific problem but they're best conclusion was that it could be the Lead Frame Wiring Harness. That is being replaced under warranty. My question is; if I'm thinking about trading the truck in because of this issue that was repaired under warranty. Do I need to go back to the dealership that I purchased the truck from or can I go to another location. I was told by my finance group to go back to the original dealer. Do they do something that a new dealer can't because the vehicle originated from there?

If you are trading in the vehicle to purchase a new one, returning to the original dealership MAY get you a little better deal. Not because the truck was purchased from, rather you'd be treated like a returning customer. Shop around for the best deal from another dealership, then give the original dealership a try and see what you get. Not going to cost anything except a trip to a different dealership and a couple of hours.
