Most commonly the lines going into the rear evaporator leaks under that silver sleeve. Th fix for that is replacing the lines. It’s an expensive repair

Now seeing your pic. Clean off the area and run the ac and see where the leak is actually comming form. If it’s from the top it’s most likely the core. Also peal crack that insulation on the lines and see under there
CITYLIFE404, I’m having the same issue on 2015 Ford Explorer limited. local Mechanic has helped locate the issue to the line just before the coupling coming out of the chassis. Any suggestions on repair?
Lines were fine. Gaskets were bad and spraying. Replaced and purged refrigerant. Unfortunately gaskets are not very good and already failed. Bot a great design
