Tranny swap problems

Asked by GuruZP95Q Nov 18, 2017 at 11:13 PM about the 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport Quad Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 dodge dakota. The transmission
would only work in reverse. I got another one and
swapped the 2. Now my truck won't even start. It
ran fine. I backed it into the garage with no
problem now I get cam sensor codes and crank
position sensor codes. What could cause this?

most likely when you changed the trans....the crank sensor on the bell housing was not put back in correctly....or the plug became disconnected...
