Experiencing jerking, running rough and stalling of vehicle( maybe when air conditioner engaged,
Last summer we started to experience vehicle running rough, almost
stalling and jerking right after fueling, Attributed this to bad fuel. Put in a
fuel conditioner. Problem continued. Had it into the dealer and to an
independent mechanic. Scoped numerous times. Changed the plugs and
coils. It was compression tested numerous times. They would clear the
computer code and it would be called good. It would start the same crap on
the was home sometimes. Problem seemed to have cleared up for winter.
The MIL light did not come on at all and vehicle seemed to be running fine.
Warm weather is upon us and same behavior again. I turned off the air
conditioner the last time I drove the vehicle and it seemed to clear up the
jerking, rough ideling. Is there a possibility the problem is linked to the air
conditioner in the vehicle and if so what may be the problem. How would
this be fixed. I'd like to have something to tell the mechanics when they
look at me like I'm :just a woman and don't really know what my vehicle is
doing. Plus don't really want to spend a whole lot of money while they keep
putting it on the scope to tell me they've cleared the code, it should be
good, here's your bill.
