high beams, ac/heat and airbag light

Asked by HeatherrandAvery15 Jun 15, 2015 at 07:30 PM about the 2013 Ford Focus SE Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay so my ac heat and high beams all went out at the same time as well as my air bag
light came on. I thought alternator at first but quickly decided against that. Still had it
check and it's fine. I've tried to figure out what would control all those things at once but I
really can't figure it out. I drive an automatic, 2013 ford focus SE hatchback.  HELPP

I just started having the same exact problem with my 2012 Ford Focus hatchback. Were you able to resolve the issue? Can't seem to find anything that helps.

Yes, it was a bad battery. I let it go until my car just wouldn't start all together before I realized the battery didn't have enough juice to run everything. My suggestion is take your battery to Advance or Auto Zone and let them test your battery if you can't test it yourself.

The same thing just happened to me, And I can't seem to figure it out. I took it to autozone and Walmart and had the battery tested they said it's good. Did you guys have another solution?

After I changed the battery I realized that wasn't the problem. The problem is under the passenger side dash. If you have a passenger who likes to extend their feet or perhaps you have a long legged hubby like myself, there is a little clip with a shit ton of wires conneted to it that if they kick it, it releases the wires and they all disconnect at once. It should be a little blue clip under the dash on the passenger floor board. Hope that helps! ^_^

Awesome fix, I was searching around the fuse box and couldn't find any issues, read this and looked over at my girlfriend sat looking innocent and totally oblivious to what she had done...I read the above reply to her and we both started laughing, looked under there and the plug had indeed come apart, Thanks!

Thank you HeatherandAvery15!!! That fixed it. I had viewed several youtube videos and no set answer. I'd only had the issue 15-minutes. You're awesome!!! Thanks for sharing.

I have a 2012 Ford Focus SE and after reading this post I checked the blue clip and it was loose so I secured it back in there and the airbag light turned off!

HeatherrandAvery15 was right and Guru13497 pic is exactly what it looked like and I just flipped the blue clip back and everything was fixed.

Omg I am SO SO GLAD I RAN UPON THOS POST!!!! I was taking my son to meet paramedics bc he was having seizures in my back seat. My husband was passenger bc I drive like I'm ar Daytona 500 24/7, but especially this night. As soon as I pulled in to meet paramedics, my lights quit, trunk wldnt open, & heater blower quit. This was 12 days ago & stilllllll unable to drive at night...UNTIL NOW!!! YOU'RE AWESOME & this site is awesome!!!! Advanced Auto just said prob a relay or fuse. So $30 for new light bulbs, 2 packs of mini fuses, & a relay fuse later...still no luck. I remembered him asking 'why this blue thing was hanging down?' I assumed from changing fuses in the dark at walmart an hr away from home. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!
