I have a 1999/dodge carvan . it won't turn over I just replaced a new battery and starter. And still won't turn over. What could it be

It it be a problem that when driving or the car is on I can take out the key and the car stays on

The sylinoid is built into the starter,check the wires to stater again,but it sounds like the iginiton switch by your sayings.

OK so I checked the wiring again cleaned the wires from the battery checked the starter fuses on the metal teeth are black....

May i ask what made you change the battery and stater?May give me some idea of what problem is.

The battery when my wife got stranded at work and the car won't start. Had the battery tested wouldn't work. Now last note she got stranded at the gas station. Car wouldn't turn over .. Everything else turned on but the car

It ran after battery replaced,then quit,then you replaced starter thinking it was the issue,all i can read in to this,is check that new starter,and if it is good,it will be the iginiton,why i think this is a bad igintion will eat the battery,which it did,and now that you have good battery power it went ahead and eat the switch.

I arched it from the bottom It sounded like it wanted to start but didn't . so it just might be the ignition switch
