97 dogde caravan belt squealing

Asked by Amanda Dec 10, 2017 at 11:47 AM about the 1997 Dodge Caravan ES FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 97 dodge caravan and the
belt is squealing, we replaced the belt
and it has quit for about a month and
then started doing it again, we replaced
the tensioner pulley and it got quieter
but still did it So we then replaced the
harmonic balancer and it is still doing
it. We are lost to what else it could be.

small coolant/oil leaks can cause the squealing , they make a belt dressing too buut if it's clean and dry I don't think it should make noise
