Question type: General

I just bought an RV. What is the best way to tow an '86 Mustang GT 5-speed stick?

NO dingy towing...4 wheels on ground. After looking around, a trailer is best

You might be able to locate a tow bar kit for the Mustang, then you hook a wiring harness from the RV to the Mustang's tailights. Put the Mustang in neutral. My parents first towed a Chevy Sprint 5 speed, then a Geo Tracker 5 speed at least 10k total miles. The only thing wrong with the Sprint was the 12" wheels. Had to use a bungee cord tension system on the steering wheel so the when the car hit a bump the wheels wouldn't flutter. The Tracker with the 15" wheels towed like a dream.

buy a 1/2 ton truck, or a Dakota with a 4.7 v8 is one of the best, Don't take a chance with the stang, to light, to short of a wheel base, and you will smoke your clutch, in about a 100 miles of hauling. hope this helps
