Car Won't Accelerate on Sharp Turns - Just Revs

Asked by Jtmannnn14 Dec 20, 2016 at 10:35 AM about the 1988 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

If I try to power out of a sharp turn, the car stops
accelerating and just revs. When I straighten the
wheel a little it seems to hook back up and go. I am
stumped. Any suggestions are welcome.

I am guessing that your transmission fluid level is really low and when you go around corners the fluid shifts to one side and then transmission stops working.
