might be all worn out....do a compression test on the motor~ wet and dry and compare leak downs between cylinders~

Its mint ninty thousand miles owned by a senior citizen that worked for gm. I dont have acess to that sort of equipment. And mechanics charge and arm and a leg for testing. It runs perfect until you put it to the floor

check the fluids...if the oil's all there and the right color and consistancy....and the coolant is all there and still translucent green....there isn't any cause for alarm.....old guy with a Camaro....litttle old lady from Pasadena~
check for vacuum leaks... spray carb cleaner on the motor ( where vacuum lines are) if the rpm's go up its vacuum.. also make sure the carb gasket isn't leaking and carb is tight... sounds like its sat some and can be bad on them to... dry rotted hoses... hope this helps
also might be a dirty jet in the carb. if so carb cleaner will help that also...

3 thousand no rust anywhere ninty some thousand miles and runs perfect till you stomp it.
Sounds like a good price for that one. Also check the cat converter if it still has one on it. If it's stopped up it can cause this sort of issue too.
