88 ford f150 runabilty issues

Asked by Tom Jan 05, 2017 at 12:46 PM about the 1988 Ford F-150 S Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck sat for some time then I had all the wiring
and 4 Injectors replaced..it ran great. I drove it
yesterday and it started idling high then when I
shut it off  it was hard to start  back up and today I
had it running good after it sat over night then after
about 30 min the idle jumped up and as I was
backing down the hill it shut off and smelled real
rich it will crank but only after having to Pat the
accelerator then it shuts right back off and smells
rich.. I'm thinking the O2 sensor or the idle control
valve..
Anyone have a idea what's wrong
