the t.p. sensor is spring loaded sounds like you need to take it off and reinstall ip properly

Retrace your steps, check to see if TPS is installed properly and double check electrical connections to see if any were left loose.

The computer needs to relearn the throttle value. First disconect pos and negative battery terminals then touch the pos with negative connectors for minute or so don't touch the battery terminal at all then reconect terminals to battery positive first then negative then turn key on then wait 15 sec then start car but don't touch gas peddle this is the computer returning idle values from cold to hot allow 15 minutes then after that drive around for a while for the computer to learn the shift values
