I have a 2009 crown Vic police interceptor will a transmission from a 2005 police interceptor work work properly in my car?

No it won't work. I put a 2006 in a 2009 and it would only start in neutral. Ford changed transmission every two years. They even changed PCM, because I tried to change that to, to see if it would cause trans to shift, but it's a totally different size PCM.
