Your original battery is getting pretty old. Cranking in cold weather making the voltage drop so low that the computerized components like your menu screen can not function right. Have your battery tested and possibly replaced. Your engine computer and fuel pump are also struggling to get enough juice to run right. That might be why it starts hard.
I am having the exact same problem in my 2014 charger. I had my battery and alternator checked and they were perfectly fine. Can anyone help us???

If the battery and alternator are okay, there is one more thing that can drag the voltage down. A faulty starter can draw too many amps, making the battery look weak. When I was young, if the voltage dropped below nine volts while cranking the starter, it was suspected something was wrong. These voltage drops are now felt by electronic devices that like smooth electrical flow.

My 2014 charger the radio and ac instrument panel blacks out and when this happens the front defrost with heat starts blowing and may be 10 to 15 minutes later the radio and ac and instrument panel/dash all come back on. When it blacks out you can not control any of the instrument function. Heat blows high through front defrost until panel decides to come back on. Clock has to be reset and heat defrost turned off and ac adjusted. Craziest think I have ever seen. Changes battery and fuse box in trunk and still does the same. Its does this randomly, not at start if vehicle, but could be driving or idling and this happens. Battery and alternator both tested good. If anyone else having this issue let me know if you have diagnosed this please.
