did light use to come on automatically? could be a fuse. does e brake go down and stay down. brake light on cluster should come on when e brake is pushed. alot of times the brake wears down so much e brake wont fully engage. rear brakes could be worn out to much. if not, e brake cable could just needs adjusting.
