Asked by Tom May 14, 2017 at 10:42 PM about the 2014 Nissan Frontier S Crew Cab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Like a wet cardboard box I folded under temptation of buying a  .(.My wife
said."OMG!") A FLOOD VEHICLE.  I bought a 2014 Nissan Frontier
w/21,000 miles for $8,900 .. of course they have to drain the lake before I
can get it ,, but it's a 2014  so it couldn't have been submerged for more than
3 years.
Many consider me an expert regarding automotive electrical/electronics and
this looked like an opportunity to prove them wrong.
Stay tuned to find out if this was an under-priced truck or an over-priced boat
anchor ... I have no idea how far this truck went down but ,,, it runs and the
radio works so the "High water" mark had too be lower than the radio (I think)
.... If I were in school this would be a "Tell the class what you did last
summer, Tom"
I may need help on this project .. perhaps a few of my friends here can
give me advice ,,,BTW, no advice about don't buy it because it's too late

visual checking can determine water line, above dash board would be a concern the type of water , salt, swift muddy ect, sounds like with some fluid changes you got a winner

My wife said "Make sure the seats are comfortable ,, because if it doesn't run than that's where you will be sleeping"
