my rpm's fly to 2500-3000, when my car isnt even doing 70mph.

rpm going to 2500-3000 before I reach 70mph if I let up on the gas it goes back down, I've had the filter and lines replaced but still doing can you help.

Could be slippage in the trainsmission,is it automatic or standerd?
