Car battery expected life in a hot climate

How long can I expect a 2015 Subaru Forester battery to live in a Florida hot
climate?  I would like to replace it before it completely dies on me.  I just had a
2016 Kia Soul battery completely die after 2.5 years.

I'm seeing LOTS of new batteries in 2015+ Subarus, so clearly their lifespans are shorter than they used to be. I just bought a nice '14 OB with an original battery, but both the '15 and '16 I bought had new ones! Something wrong at the lead mines?
