What does auxiliary battery malfunction mean when it shows up on my dashboard

Probably time to replace the aux. battery, Not a huge deal, easily done

Look under the floor in the trunk, passenger side. Easy to replace. Spring for the OEM on amazon or ebay or pelican parts, etc. I know the pic is of a 2013, but its probably the same from a 2015
