I HAVE A 2001 FORD ESCORT ZX2. THE CHECK ENGINE SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD THE PROBLEM FIXED BUT THE LIGHT IS STILL ON. HOW DO I CLEAR THE CODE SO THE LIGHT GOES OFF?

The mechanic who"fixed the problem" should turn the light off- unless the problem wasn't fixed at all

CAR X REPLACED THE TIMING BELT. I DIDN'T NOTICE THE LIGHT UNTIL LATER. THE REPAIR WAS DONE OUT OF TOWN. I DON'T WANT TO DRIVE BACK TO HAVE THEM DO IT. IS THERE A WAY I CAN DO IT ?
