Honda rear struts repair

Asked by GuruHVQKJ Jul 12, 2019 at 01:44 PM about the 2015 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought 2015 Honda CRV, 67000km (41631miles) from a Honda dealer.
Within additional 10,000km, I had to replace the rear struts due to oil leakage.
Does this kind of things happen unfortunately? or is this a part of
unprofessional inspection before the sale??

Was the car certified or sold as is? If the struts were leaking when it was sold they should have noticed it but 6,000 miles later you can't blame them.

Thank you for the answer, it was certified. Ok, I guess was just bit unlucky, but your answer made me feel better, thanks!

Certified means there was a warranty. Did the warranty pay for it?

Yes. I have standard warranty, but I have been told that rear strut replacement is not covered by the warranty.

Bummer. You can read the warranty in case they are wrong about the coverage. Good luck!
