2016 Impala Headlights

Asked by GuruV3J9L Sep 22, 2018 at 01:20 AM about the 2016 Chevrolet Impala 1LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have ya'll had any complaints on 2015-2016 Impala
headlights. I cannot see at night because there is no
illumination down road. The peripheral light is great since I
changed the bulbs from halogen to LED but there is almost
no visibility in front of the car.  I've tried adjusting the
up/down screws but still no better. Have any ideas??  I do
not feel comfortable driving at night because I can barely
see what's in front of the car.

Take it to a professional shop and have the headlights adjusted, You can't possibly do this without aiming tools. A don't piss around pointing the car at the side of a building it won't work.

Not really, it's as if the housing around the bulb was designed without any reflective properties.

Huge problem seeing at night for me too. Dealership told me nothing wrong with headlights and that they are designed so as not to blind oncoming cars - LOL! Little good that does if I hit the oncoming car or run into a ditch or off the road because I can't see. I have a 2018 Chevy Impala. I like the car basically but would prefer a car I can drive day and night. There are numerous posts about this on other sites including the impala forums. I had a 2009 Toyota and even at 10 years could see great at night. Ability to see so much worse in rain and snow too!!! I can't believe they have gotten away with this for so many years, which is obvious reading older posts on other sites. This is a dangerous car to drive at night.
