I have a honda civic, 2002 manual, and the a/c started running intermittantly and then stopped, and now the heater isn't working as well. You can feel hot air at the vent, but it doesn't blow. I popped the hood and the fans that sit at the radiator aren't running either. Is it just a fan belt problem? Or something like a heater core or fuses? Anything helps! Thank you!

I have a 2011 Honda Civic and SOMETIMES it does not blow out hot air OR cold air. Like I said, SOMETIMES. Most times, both the heat and the air works just fine. My car is also making an awful noise noise now... whether the air is on or off. It doesn't matter, the noise is constant. I just took my car to the mechanic and he said that my compressor is going out, and that is the cause of the noise that I hear. I find this difficult to believe because like I said earlier, even when I'm not running the air or heat, the sound is there. How can the compressor make noise when it's turned off? the other concern I have is that he told me that when the compressor finally goes completely out, that my motor will lock up and I will not be able to drive at all. I brought my 2007 Honda civic to the dealer because cylinders 1 and 4 were misfiring. After days at the dealer they tried everything possible and continued to state that my parts were all working and that they had never seen anything like this. Well, after 3 days and a call to Honda America turns out that that the last time I had gotten gas the gas was mixed with enough water to cause the issue. I now have a case open with the 7-11 mobile, a claim number, Adjuster and I have also contacted an Attorney as I have had to rent a car and due to all of the labor.hours put into my car the cost is about $1500. Mind you they did not have to replace ANY of my old parts as they were all working just fine. I am so mad/sad. Has anyone ever heard of this? 6 Answers
