Can I disconnect the motor to the driver's side power door to open it manually?

yes you can:-) I'm sitting at a dealership now as they had to disconnect my left rear door motor in order to manually shut the door. I am now waiting on a replacement part:-( The sliding doors have been causing me problems for months and the left door finally just quit working so I had to drive to the dealership with the door half open! So frustrating!!
