There are multiple possibilities of what the problem is. The key things it needs to run is fuel, fire, and air. I'd have to know if you're getting fuel pressure or if you're getting spark. If the check engine light's on, I'd recommend having someone hook up a diagnostic and see what the engine codes say and it could be the problem preventing it from starting. But if there's no one you know who can come to you with one, start by checking your fuel pressure and your spark plugs.
