wont shift

Hhave a 02 chevy tahoe engine will rev but won't
engage into any gear kinda like it's stuck in neutral
but selector lights day 2hi. I was driving home one
day and it did this at a stop sign went to take off
and engine reved but I didn't move second layer I
moved and everything was fine after than later
same day made a turn than went to press gas and I
was going nowhere coasted home luckily. Engine
will rev but nothing any help would be great I heard
no boise from tranny or anything before this
happened

Your tranny is blown. Take it to a transmission shop.

I will put a new transmission in I just wasn't sure if that would be the problem. Cause I had no problems or noises before

    The speedo does not work sets at 0 and transmission not shift in the 3rd 4th or overdrive. 1 ,2 ,& ,reverse work manually just fine
