My car when it gets hot an I come to a
stop an then take off it gives a big jerk but
then it's ok till I stop again I can shift the
gears my self from low to drive an it don't
jerk

Sounds like it could be a shift solenoid in the transmission. Should take it to a transmission shop for proper diagnosis.

No, not necessarily, I'm not positive if it would or not. If it is just a shift solenoid problem then no it wouldn't.
