How do you take a heater core out of a 1996 honda civic dx hatchback manual

best bet would be to buy a $20 manual but you drain your coolant unhook the heater hoses in the engine bay and unbolt the 12mm(It could be 10mm but I am pretty sure its a 12) nut that i think is right above the heater hoses you unhooked. then on the inside you get under your dash and there will be some cables and plugs on it carefully remove them and then there is only a few 10mm bolts. then it comes down. keep in mind you may need to remove your other heater components but I dont remember doing that on mine. I may be missing some things but get the manual they r always good to have either buy one or download one online
You will also need to discharge your a/c refrigerant, please take to a shop and have them do it instead of discharging into the air. dash removal required then the HVAC housing needs to come out and be disassembled.
