Question type: Car Customization

My car was running fine and I heard a little rattling
sound so I put my hand on the distributor and it
was coming from there. When I tried to started up
again nothing happened I bought a new distributor
put it on there and when I go to Crank It Up it acts
like it's going to crank but it starts to shake and
spit and sputter what could I do to fix it please help

Two things. Did you label and verify the spark plug wires to make sure they went on the same as they cam off? Secondly, did you line up the rotor the same way as the old one came off? There is an identification mark on the rotor to line it up with the old one. You may have an ignition timing problem if you didn't do these steps.

Assuming you have the 1.8L engine, this is the wire diagram. The firing order is 1-3-4-2. If you're still having ignition problems after the wires are configured this way, I would uninstall the distributor and flip the rotor 180 degrees. Hope this helps.
