You are only going to get so much out of a 1.5L. A Turbo kit will run you close to $700... not installed. Then what? Tax the transmission on a 1990 with that more power? I couldn't even find a supercharger positive pressure induction available for that engine.
when do you want the extra power is the first thing....
Im just trying to get as much out of my engine as possible it's my project car and I'm not really trying to invest a whole lot of money into my car besides building up the engine and a few appearance changes , I want to keep it stock as much as possible so when people ask what engine I got in it I can say just a 1.5 and then see the surprised look on their face because of the fact that I'm getting so much out of so little
Go get the bolt ons from autozone and you can only get as much power as you let out so maybe exhaust and headers will add a little bit of horsepower! Not ALOT but but it does help also chipped ecu? Bigger intake manifold? Idk d series arent really made to be fast unless you tune them right! And if your going to turbo your car save up for some new pistons and rods and valves that could handle the turbos pressure! Also transimision that can withstand the pressure as well such as a d16y8 but honestly bro!! If you want power just keep saving and get B series or h22
