slow cranking

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
went to the store and ran fine, turned it off. When I came back out it wouldn't crank and turned over very slow. Put a new battery in it and even tried jumping it off and still the same thing. Hit it with starting fluid and popped up through the intake. Replaced the timing set thinking it was that, still with the same symptoms. Have also replaced the starter. Not sure what else it could be but need it running. Thanks in advance for any help.

then there may be a bad electrical connection , all those amps to turn the starter will see a lot of resistance going through a bad connection , you may have a junk starter also , don't buy cheap
put a new starter on it, a good one, didn't want to have to do it again :). thanks for the help
I'm out of ideas on this one. It almost acts like a bad ground, but I have checked it and added a bigger ground strap, still the same thing.
