You may have someone that has your same code and when they use their remote .. you get the signal. A while back I saw a segment on TV where cars were getting robbed when vandals walked down well used streets (NYC .. I think) with remotes and when they got a hit all they needed to do was listen for a horn or flashing lights. I thought remotes had a bazillion codes but I guess there more common
